History
Pioneer Window Manufacturing was founded in 1984 as a window installation company in the highly competitive New York City marketplace. After decades of experience and thousands of completed projects, Pioneer's principals took the knowledge they had gained from years of window installation and used it to manufacture better windows, doors, curtain walls, storefronts and related products.

John Adams High School, New York, NY

Pioneer worked with the New York City School Construction Authority to understand their performance and design needs before designing the ideal window for this market - the Series 7000 double hung window. Recently, Pioneer upgraded the performance of this window from an AW 40 rating to an AW 90 rating.

To round out the product line, Pioneer developed state-of-the-art products to service the heavy commercial market including:  
  • 3-3/8" double hung with tilt-in sash, HC-55 - Series 5000 window
  • 4-1/8" double hung with tilt-in sash, HC 60 - Series 6000 window
  • 3-3/8" horizontal slider, HC-50 - Series 8000

Expansive Manufacturing Capability
Pioneer's manufacturing facility is located Upstate New York in Fulton County, just a few hours from New York City, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Boston and all points along the East Coast. Our plant houses state-of-the-art equipment that allows Pioneer to lead the industry with higher performing products and shorter lead times due to its in-house manufacturing capabilities like:

  • curving of extrusions
  • manufacture of custom arch windows
  • paint spray booth
  • complete in-house test lab
Pioneer also manufactures its own insulated glass and its complete, in-house test chamber provides quality control and faster certification of new or re-designed products.

Pioneer offers three types of paint finishes by Valspar: 70% Kynar, 50% Kynar and baked enamel in twelve standard and custom colors. Anodized colors and finishes are also available. Pioneer's complete line of commercial, heavy commercial and architectural-grade products meet the AAMA's highest standards for performance.
